Problem
Songwriters were losing melody ideas due to slow capture tools and struggling to organize hundreds of unlabeled recordings, making it difficult to revisit and develop ideas.

A songwriter who needed a fast, intuitive way to capture melodies instantly and organize recordings, lyrics, and ideas in a structured, accessible system.
What I Built
MelodySketch, an iOS app designed for rapid idea capture and organization. The app includes a lock screen widget for instant recording, a lyric pad that runs alongside voice recordings, and a project-based system with tagging to organize and revisit ideas efficiently. Delivered as a fully designed MVP with a complete design system and interactive prototype.
Where AI Fits
AI can be integrated to automatically transcribe recordings, generate tags, and organize ideas based on content, helping users quickly find and build on past recordings without manual sorting.
My Role
Led the full UX and UI design across nine screens in Figma, defining the product experience from concept to MVP. Designed core features, user flows, and a scalable design system to support future development.
Outcome / Intended Impact
Reduces friction in capturing ideas, prevents loss of creative moments, and transforms scattered recordings into an organized, usable songwriting workflow.
